Voices for Change survey

The Stronger Charities Alliance is partnering with Pro Bono Australia and the University of Melbourne to launch a new project – Voices for Change: researching NFP advocacy in Australia. 

This is the first of an ongoing survey series to monitor the state of not-for-profit advocacy in Australia. It will be used to understand the barriers to not-for-profits engaging in advocacy and to help identify how to strengthen the capacity of the sector.

The research was led by Professor Sarah Maddison, who co-authored the other major surveys in this field in 2004 (Silencing Dissent) and 2017 (Civil Voices). 

The survey received 401 responses from diverse Australian charities.
